Esperanza (Essie) is the first and very special girl in our family. She was named after a character from the Spanish movie Como Agua Para Chocolate (Like Water For Chocolate). It is no coincidence that her name translates to "Hope" in English as she is potentially the start of the Savitar line.

Her sire, is the very succesful international champion, Zanzebern Defender, from Australia. Her dam is CH Anahera Chanticleer who has won Best of Breed at the NZKC National Dog Show several times. In the year 2008 she followed closely in her dam's footsteps in taking the Reserve Bitch and NZ Bred of Breed at the same show.

Essie has a superb temperament combined with an arguably smouldering look that has melted numerous hearts. She certainly has all of us at home twisted around her chunky paw. Combined with her excellent radiographic scores we all hold great hopes in her future and wait for it to unfold with bated breath. Thank you Linda and Chris Jury for entrusting this precious girl with us. We cherish every day we spend with her, even the ones when she took to chasing the cats!
